Object Identification and Localization using Handheld Metal Detectors

Traditional handheld metal detectors used for buried object detection are limited to detecting whether a metallic object is present, offering little insight into the type of object found. This limitation can significantly slow down operations and increase risk, especially in applications like military or humanitarian demining, where distinguishing between landmines and harmless debris may be a matter of life and death.

Our solution addresses this gap by equipping metal detectors with advanced hardware and software to enhance their capabilities. A high-precision search head tracking system enables the use of physics-assisted machine learning, combining advanced modeling of magnetic field perturbations with AI-driven algorithms. Our innovation ensures faster, safer, and more reliable demining, improving decision-making in high-stakes environments. Beyond demining, our technology provides a powerful solution for characterizing hidden metallic objects in a variety of challenging applications, including unexploded ordnance detection, security systems, non-destructive testing, precision agriculture, etc.

Autonomous Stand-Off Threat Detection System

Our technology also enables fully autonomous threat detection through integration with robotic platforms. Autonomous ground robots equipped with metal detection capabilities can operate in dangerous environments without risking human lives. Aerial drones can survey larger areas quickly, providing initial assessments of contaminated regions, while underwater drones can inspect submerged areas, where other methods are often ineffective.
With object identification technology, these systems can distinguish threats from harmless objects in real time—ensuring safer, faster, and more efficient operations across any environment.

Close-Range Electromagnetic Tracking

A cutting-edge tracking system operates as a standalone product. Tracking the position and orientation of the source of magnetic field relative to objects or locations is crucial for many engineering applications beyond subsurface electromagnetic induction sensing. These include non-line-of-sight navigation, eddy current nondestructive testing, intrabody tracking, and wireless charging.
Our technology provides reliable tracking with millimeter range accuracy, delivering robust performance even in the most demanding environments.
